The Story of the Great West Indies Cricket Team of the 70’s & 80’s

 

In the 1970’s & 80’s the West Indian National Cricket team went from a bunch of affable ‘Calypso’ boys to the most ferocious, disciplined and unbeatable team ever seen in the history of the game.

 

Under the Captaincy and father-like figure of Clive Lloyd, a team was created from the islands that were trained to a level of fitness never seen in the game before with a burning fire and determination that took them on a 15 year unbeaten run of test series.

This drama will follow the story of the team from the 1970’s as Clive Lloyd starts putting together a team to face their first ultimate test .. a test series down under against the number one in the world, the Aussies!
